Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)

Find out all you need to know about the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act (2012), and host responsibility, in order to be a Duty Manager on licensed premises. This one day course is informative, entertaining and presented by an industry expert.

Courses run in fortnightly in Christchurch, Wellington, and Auckland

Steps to becoming a Manager on licensed premises.

Step 1

Complete the Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ)

Step 2

Complete and pass the LCQ assessment

Upon sucessful completion of your assessment we will apply for your LCQ certificate, which will then be issued to you (email or post).

Step 3

Apply for your managers certificate.

Visit the local concil website where you will be able to download the application form. Complete the application and submit the required supporting documentation. It is likely that you will also be required to attend an interview. 

Step 4

Once you receive your certificate your employer will appoint you as a Manager.
